Food & Drinks
The restaurant presents fare that is both wholesome as well as flavoursome. There are some traditional dishes as well as some more innovative combinations.
Focus is on taste, presentation and generous portions. All dishes are prepared with the utmost care and attention, and only the freshest ingredients are sourced on a daily basis to ensure that nothing but the best, healthiest and most delectable dishes are served to the client and that even the most discerning palate is satisfied.
Deep fried camembert with cranberry sauce, crumbed mushrooms, tempura prawns with garlic butter, peri-peri or sweet chilli sauce, crumbed calamari with tartare sauce and grilled calamari with garlic butter are just some of the delectable starters that are available to wet the appitite and prepare one for the taste sensations that await.
Enticing main courses include Seafood, Chicken, Pork, Pasta, Lamb, Beef and Vegetarian dishes. Wild and exotic african curry chicken, giant black tiger prawns, brandy flambéed fillet steak, pasta alfredo, vegetable lasagna, the unique Arebbusch Rump Steak, grilled and topped with mushrooms, chillis and melted cheese and last but not least, the sirloin steak, grilled and served with a chilli chocolate sauce, are but a few of the dishes that will send your taste senses on an adventure and ensure a gastronomic affair that will satisfy any appetite.
The Children’s menu is both exciting and eclectic. On offer are some of the regular dishes such as chicken nuggets and chips, as well as some healthier options such as the “Fruit & Veggie Fundue” – seasonal fruits and vegetables served with a yoghurt dip.
“The piece de resistance” – tempting, delectable and mouthwatering – sweet delights that will create a sense of euphoria. Chocolate brownies, ice cream and chilli chocolate sauce come together as a magical fusion of flavours, crème caramel and crème brulee elicit shivers of delight, while the malva pudding leaves one feeling warm and fuzzy in a dessert utopia.
If one happens to get peckish in between meals, there is a light meal/snack menu that will stave off the hunger pangs. The ever popular snack basket with samoosas, spring rolls, chicken nuggets, calamari rings and french fries, the chicken and beef wraps and the good old standby, the hamburger, are just some of the options to choose from.
The cakes, tarts and breads, baked to perfection, are a definite must as well! Lemon meringue, peppermint tart and a chocolate cake topped with caramel are just a few of the freshly baked items that are available daily. A slice of cake and pastry heaven awaits all of those who are prepared to venture there.
The wine selection is both well-balanced and extensive. A great deal of care and attention has gone into compiling a wine list that is guaranteed to suit most palates and pockets. From the highly quaffable to the extremely complex, there is something for even the most discerning wine connoisseur. Furthermore, there is a wide variety of beers, ciders, spirits and soft drinks to quench any thirst, and for the more adventurous, a colourful array of deceptively delicious and charming cocktails.
To break the fast in the morning, there are two breakfast buffets too choose from. Lavish and scrumptious, the Continental Breakfast Buffet includes a variety of cereals as well as muffins and breads baked to perfection, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, cheeses, cold meats, coffee, tea and juices. The extravagant Full English Breakfast Buffet is guaranteed to satisfy any appetite, and includes all of the items on the Continental Breakfast Buffet plus eggs (scrambled or fried), omelets, bacon, sausages, and then a number of dishes that rotate on a daily basis, such as fried mushrooms, chicken livers, hash browns and fish goujons, but to name a few. In addition there are always a few gluten free dishes available.
To remain appealing and appetizing, the Sunday Lunch Buffet changes every week. However, there will always be an array of salads, four meat dishes, two vegetables, a starch and 3 desserts available. Coleslaw, Beetroot Salad, Greek Salad, Potatoe Salad, Pasta Salad and Carrot Salad, are just a few examples of salads that may be expected. Meat dishes include items such as Oxtail Stew, Roast Beef, Pork Schnitzels, Smoked Beef Brisket, Game Roulade, Beef Tounge, Hake Fish and Whole Stuffed Chicken. Last but not least, desserts that are regularly presented include Ice Cream, Malva Pudding, Custard, Chocolate Brownies, Fresh Fruit Salad, Apple Tart, Chocolate Mousse and a variety of cakes.
