Windhoek’s place to be when it comes to kiddie’s party time has got to be the i-Fun park. Directly across the road from Arebbusch Travel Lodge, more than 930 children hosted their birthday parties their last year.

The park offers a wide range of themed and un-themed parties in every price range and in a number of venues, but it’s not all about the cake and cool drinks at i-Fun. 

This all-embracing centre offers a host of fun outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy from 11am to 8pm on Fridays, 11am to 7pm Tuesday to Thursday and from 9am to 9pm on Saturdays, as well as a range of packages to suit corporate fun days or events. The park is closed on Mondays and on Christmas Day and open from 10am to 7pm on Sundays and other public holidays.

These are some of the things you can get up to at i-Fun:

Go Karting

Take one of the German-engineered Rimo go karts for a spin around the 360m-long outdoor Monaco-style track. There are 4 carts reserved just for the kids, and you only have to be 1.2m tall to go it alone on the open ‘road’.

Laser Tag

Introduced in 2012, Laser Tag has grown in leaps and bounds ever since. The guns, which have a range of 100m, are totally safe and operate on infra-red rays which are harmless to the eyes.

Children from as young as 5 years old can join in the fun and you can choose from a variety of energising game modes such as ‘Immortal’, ‘Immortal Teams’, ‘Last Man Standing’, and ‘Zombies vs Humans’, which all take place on an outdoor battlefield.

Playground

Children have hours of fun in the playground, which is constantly being modernised with new games and activities. Some of these include an aeroplane, jumping castle, jungle gyms, toddler’s area and a carousel for the under 10s. Most of the kiddies’ parties take place at one of the venues in this section.

Water Park

A ride on the waterslide or a session on the splash pad provides refreshing fun in the sun for all ages. Day passes are available for these rides.

Mini Golf

A treat for mom and dad too, this challenging little course will put your handicap to the ultimate test.

Restaurant and bar

Take a break with a range of snacks, meals and sweet treats at the onsite restaurant or relax with a cider, beer, cool drink, or glass of wine at the bar.
