Don’t miss the fruits of German culture, on 28 and 29 October, in the form of the Oktoberfest Namibia at Sport Klub Windhoek.

One of the few Oktoberfests in Africa, it promises a celebration of authentic German tradition in an atmosphere fueled with Namibian hospitality.

Those involved in the planning stages are gearing up to deliver a combo of food (think pork knuckle and roast pork, pretzels and a variety of German sausages); games and competitions (from Log-sawing to Keg Stacking; even Carry the Wench!), atmospheric live music (such as The Wikaphoniker Orchestra) and – star of the show – excellent Namibian beer, brewed in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot (German purity law) of 1516.
