Ice & Spice Café has been delighting Swakopmund locals and visitors since 2014 with a unique blend of Italian gelato, high-quality meals, and friendly service.

You’ll find their cheerful little shop at the Atlanta Arcade in the tranquil heart of Swakopmund where you can enjoy your eats either in the cool, cozy interior or outside on the undercover patio. Ice & Spice Café is accessible by wheelchair.

Patrons enjoy safe, street parking, free-off street parking, and the convenience of takeaway eats or table service.

There are two play areas where children can enjoy themselves in safety while the adults relax in these friendly surroundings.

Ice & Spice Café is a family-run business with just six hand-picked local staff members chosen for their unfailing commitment and passion for customer service.

The Menu at Ice & Spice Café

Passion is the key ingredient in all meals served at Ice & Spice Café.

Here, a dizzying array of authentic, artisan Italian gelato crafted from an age-old family recipe is the main event, but it’s backed by a host of other breakfast, lunch, and ice cream sundaes.

You can wash it all down with fine coffee, milkshakes, soda floats and soft drinks.

Every scoop of gelato bursts with flavor and quality with 22 varieties available daily and another 42 seasonal possibilities. The more you visit, the more choices you’ll get to enjoy.

Some of the inventive ice-cream compilations available include, Oreo Cookies, Lotus Cheesecake, Watermelon, Chocolate, and Blackberry Yoghurt. There are also sugar-free versions of the chocolate, hazelnut, and pistachio ice cream, and 500ml containers available daily.

Ice & Spice Café makes gorgeous ice cream cakes to order and features a great selection of your favorite sweet treats on the menu too. Examples include classic baked cheesecake, Bar-One waffles, light-as-a-feather crepes, and ice cream sundaes.

The menu also has a range of savory offerings, like soups, toasted sandwiches, wraps, cooked breakfasts, homemade pies, and pita breads. Customers rave about the unique and flavorful goulash soup.

Ice & Spice Café accepts credit cards and debit cards, and gift cards are available for those who’d like to share these awesome experiences with family and friends.

Giving Back to the Community

Ice & Spice Café is committed to the growth of their employees and offers them ongoing training in the service industry. The most committed servers are promoted into the ice-cream parlor where they can learn the fine art of creating authentic Italian gelato.

When to Visit Ice & Spice Café

You can spoil yourself with a delightful meal at Ice & Spice Café Monday to Fridays from 10am to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. The ice cream parlor remains open on Saturdays until 5pm and is also open on Sundays from 11am until 5pm.

Ice & Spice also caters for birthday parties and other functions by prior arrangement and is able to offer customized eats and ice-creams for these occasions.

Getting There

Take the B2 (Sam Nujoma Drive) into Swakopmund and travel to Nathaniel Maxuilili Street. Turn right and you’ll find the Atlanta Arcade opposite Supatronix, next to Beares Furniture store.
